Meet Joanna

A mom of three, a digital marketing professional, and the creative mind behind Mama in Transit, happily cruising between cold Poland and toasty Doha.

Instead of following my parents’ footsteps and becoming a successful lawyer, I made a fresh start for myself in the Middle East, with a Tunisian husband (lovingly known as “that Arab guy” :D).

When I’m not busy mothering and growing my digital empire, you can probably spot me in a cafe, coming up with 10 new business ideas over a latte. Or onboard a Doha-Warsaw flight. Or in QNL, just lounging around, pretending I live there 🙂

My passions include: reading smutty novels like there’s no tomorrow, touching fluffy blankets in stores, and sleeping.

The Blog

Founded in 2019, Mama in Transit started as a personal blog and quickly evolved into a helpful community resource that showcases all aspects of life in Qatar, mixed with our family adventures, reviews and some bits & pieces of women-centered lifestyle content.

Go down the rabbit hole of browsing and you’ll hopefully discover a plethora of knowledge about Qatar, useful especially to those who just moved (or who are considering the move). I did my best to include all the essentials, experiences and my personal favorites.

And let’s not forget about travel content, divided into destinations and travel tips in general.

The last section is created selfishly for my own pleasure of writing and includes the very broad category of “lifestyle”. If you read it and like it, we can be friends 🙂
